EFFICIENCYSolar technology in 2025 has moved beyond the “standard” panel. The mostsignificant jump has come from Bifacial Modules.
- Double-Sided Generation: Unlike traditional panels that only have one active
side, bifacial panels have glass on the back. They capture direct sun from the
front and reflected light (Albedo) from the ground on the back. - Efficiency Gains: While a standard panel might hit 17-19% efficiency, bifacial
panels using TOPCon or HJT (Heterojunction) technology are now reaching 22%
to 24% efficiency. - Ground Reflectivity: Engineers are now designing “White Ground” solar
farms (using white gravel or membranes) to maximize the light bouncing into
the back of the panels, which can boost energy output by an additional 10-
15%.
