Mr. Naresh Kumar

Mr. Naresh Kumar is an eminent business leader, a pioneer and significant contributor to the rapid evolution of India's oil & gas sector for more than 28 years. He graduated in 1974 as Mechanical Engineer. His visionary thinking, unflinching dedication and conscientious efforts have immensely helped India's oil industry to grow into one of country's most strategic contributors to the economy and a force to reckon with, globally.

INDUSTRY ACCOMPLISHMENTS/ ACHIEVEMENTS:

1.	Mr. Kumar is member Executive Committee – International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) U.S.A. He is the first Asian to be nominated on the reputed apex body since 1940 of International Drilling Contractors. He has also served as the first Vice Chairman & of the South Central Asia Chapter of IADC.
2.	Founder member of Petrotech & President of Petrotech Society (4th term).
3.	Serving as Chairman – Oil & Gas Services Division CII.
4.	Mr. Kumar has also been elected as Member American Bureau of Shipping for five years which is leading international classification society devoted to promoting the security of life, property and the marine environment through the development and verification of standards for the design, construction and operational maintenance of marine-related facilities
5.	Recognizing his calibre and contributions to the Hydrocarbon sector, the Government of India, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas invited him to the R–Group which was constituted to recommend restructuring of India’s Hydrocarbon Sector Perspective 2010.  He made significant policy recommendations, which had been accepted by the Group and implemented by the Government of India.
6.	Contributed as speaker/faculty member in various seminars/conferences pertaining to Oil & Gas Sector
7.	He was bestowed upon with ‘Industrial Excellence Award’ for his remarkable contribution to Oil & Gas sector.
8.	Mr. Kumar was also awarded International Award for The Best Trade Name in Madrid, Spain by Spanish Minister of Energy.
